  • Winter Term London Law Program 2020-21 to be offered online only. In response to the current COVID-19 global pandemic, and the travel restrictions that are in place in the United Kingdom and the United States, the Winter Term 2020-21 London Law Program will be offered online only. Professor Stella Elias will teach a two-credit course, English Law and Literature, during the Winter Term.  No London Law program fee will be charged for this course, and so Iowa Law's standard tuition rules governing courses during the academic year will apply.  The class, which will be taught via Zoom in small groups, will meet from Thursday, January 7, 2021 through Friday, January 15, 2021. To learn more and to register for the course, please visit: law.uiowa.edu/london.
  • Having problems connecting to wireless in BLB? Try these steps!
    • Step 1: Forget the network – this frequently solves connection issues.
    • Step 2: Update the wireless drivers on your Windows laptop, or your Mac laptop. Outdated drivers may not be able to connect to eduroam.
    • Step 3: Contact the Help Desk with any questions!
  • Using Mediacom for your home internet service? The University recently created a partnership with Mediacom to provide expedited troubleshooting help for students, faculty and staff! This is ONLY for technical help. Contact Mediacom directly for billing and contract questions. Go here to submit your request for assistance. Check back often as the University is working to add more providers to this service!
  • Moot Court Board Invite - The Moot Court Board invites all incoming 2Ls to participate in Appellate Advocacy I. Students can enroll on MyUI. Although the program is no longer required for second-year students, the majority of students consistently seek to participate in this competition for the multitude of benefits and skills that derive from this “real world” practice, particularly oral advocacy. Over the years, the program has expanded to include prestigious opportunities like the Supreme Court Day Arguments, two internal competitions (Van Oosterhout-Baskerville and Jessup), and traveling teams that compete in various competitions across the country.

Fall Financial Aid Frequently Asked Questions

    Question Answer
How do I check my Financial Aid Status? Check your Financial Aid To Do List on MyUI to see if there are any missing financial aid forms. When in MyUI, make sure you select the correct session in the upper right corner when viewing each page, i.e. Fall 2020.
When can I expect my financial aid refund, and how is this refund calculated?

Students can generally expect their refund during the first week of classes. The refund is calculated by deducting any Tuition, Fees, or Room and Board charges assessed, and refunded anything in excess of those costs.

Where can I check the status of my financial aid disbursement?

Students can view the status of their financial aid disbursement on MyUI by selecting Financial Aid & Billing then the Aid Disbursement link. Once the aid has been awarded, the date and method of disbursement will be displayed.
