Supreme Court Day THANK YOU!!!
Congratulations to our Supreme Court Day advocates on a great job this morning. We are so grateful to the Iowa Supreme Court and our moot court program for their flexibility and rising to this year's challenge. You all worked so hard and represented us brilliantly.

- Sunday is the start of week 4 (Even Week).
- Zoom Webinar License The College of Law has a Zoom Webinar License. If you are planning a large scale virtual event, consider using this format. It's also a great platform if you expect larger attendance or if you are hosting a program with a single speaker or panel of speakers. You can still take questions from the audience, but it puts the focus on the speakers and prevents unintended interruptions from participants. - Polk County Bar Membership The Polk County Bar is offering free membership to law students.It provides access to CLEs, networking events, and other programming opportunities. If you would like to join, please contact carin-crain@uiowa.edu with your name, preferred e-mail, phone number and mailing address.
- Two Upcoming Surveys for Faculty and Staff
- Campus Climate Survey for Faculty and Staff Please plan to participate in this upcoming survey. It is confidential and helps identify gaps and inform strategic plans. The survey will evaluate personal experience on campus, highlight beliefs and values related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and provide perception of the institutional commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Dialogue and action plan will follow. It opens on September 21.
- Working at Iowa Survey for Faculty and Staff This confidential survey helps the university understand our community’s experience of work and how engaged employees are in the workplace. It opens on October 5.

- September 21: Tamisiea Lecture - Students are warmly invited to attend (by Zoom) the 2020 Tamisiea Lecture in Global Wealth Management. On Monday, September 21, from 12:45-1:45 Central Time, Suzanne Shier will present a lecture on “Wealth Management 2020: Opportunity Amid Upheaval.” Ms. Shier recently retired as the Wealth Planning Practice Executive and Chief Tax Strategist/Tax Counsel for Wealth Management at the Northern Trust Company in Chicago. In part, her lecture will give students an insight into the practice of intergenerational asset management from the perspective of a leader of one of the nation’s largest and most respected trust companies.
