A Note From Your Recognition Committee | April 26 is Administrative Professionals Day! Whereas it goes without saying that we could not fulfill the mission of UI Health Care without these individuals, it is this very dependency that can often blind us to the extraordinary contributions they make every day. In fact, if you are not sure what administrative professionals do, it is likely that those in your area are doing such an amazing job that they are taken for granted. These individuals commonly work behind the scenes to ensure that as a team, we are able to deliver the highest quality of care to our patients. These coworkers are also front and center, often serving as the face of our institution and the first point of contact for patients and their families. There is more diversity in duties and collective expertise amongst our administrative colleagues than all the emails in Outlook. Every interaction with these team members is an opportunity to make a difference. I feel honored to be working with such professionals and grateful for their assistance and guidance.

EAP is available to all UI employees and their families, including those who work within UI Health Care.
