Mark your calendar for Book Matters on Dec. 10

Join us to celebrate acclaimed author Jamel Brinkley, associate professor of fiction in the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, Guggenheim fellow, and Rome Prize Winner. Provost Kevin Kregel will recognize Brinkley for his external awards, then Brinkley will read and discuss his work with Stephen Lovely, novelist and director of the Iowa Young Writers’ Studio.

Review NIH's new security measures for biospecimens

This new NIH policy, effective Oct. 24, protects human biospecimens from misuse by foreign parties. Entities that hold human biospecimens are prohibited from directly or indirectly distributing the biospecimens to anyone located in countries of concern, which are currently listed as China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, and Venezuela.

Receive help writing your next grant

CSSI’s Grant Writing Residency Program helps faculty and scientific staff create polished, competitive proposals. Residents receive up to $1,000 in research funding, a supportive community of grant experts, and on-going workshops and learning opportunities.
