Resolve Your U-Bill Hold to Register for Classes

You have an overdue U-Bill that must be paid (or be less than $500) before you can register for summer 2025 classes. Please log into MyUI to review your U-Bill balance and make a payment as soon as possible so you can register for classes on time.

If you have already made a payment and your U-Bill is now less than $500 you may disregard this email.

Additional Information About Registering for Classes 

Students are restricted from registering for classes until their U-Bill balance is less than $500. Visit the University Billing website for information about how to pay your U-Bill. If you have questions about your past due balance, email ubill@uiowa.edu or call 319-335-0071. 

Early Registration for summer 2025 begins on Monday, March 10, and runs through Friday, March 14. Your specific registration day and time assignment is now viewable in MyUI.

If you do not plan to register for summer 2025, please contact the University Billing Office to discuss your past due balance.

Questions About Financial Aid

Please check your Financial Aid To Do List to see if you have completed all required documents for your financial aid to be released. Submit any missing information as quickly as possible.  

• If you have questions about your financial aid, contact the Office of Student Financial Aid in person or via Zoom, phone, or email. 
• Additional financial advising can be received by scheduling an appointment on MyUI with an advisor to discuss financial wellness topics such as applying for financial aid, budgeting, and borrowing wisely.
• You cannot use future financial aid to pay off your existing U-Bill.
