| ESA Newsletter - September 2024 | Welcome back to a new school year!
Throughout this past summer, the Epidemiology Student Association (ESA) board members have worked diligently on developing a newsletter to distribute within the entire Department of Epidemiology. Our main goals for this newsletter are to enhance intradepartmental communication and connection by regularly highlighting the accomplishments, experiences, and identities of our students, staff, and faculty. We plan to emphasize student, staff, and faculty submissions of publications, awards, creative expressions (e.g., artwork, poetry), recommendations, and other accomplishments to help showcase the diverse talents and achievements within our department.
We will be distributing these newsletters periodically. If anybody is interested in assisting with the production of this newsletter, please contact the ESA board. You can otherwise help us keep this project afloat by using the button below to submit your own pieces for future newsletters. | | This upcoming Monday (September 9th) ESA will be holding our first General Meeting for all students from 12:30-1:30pm in C217 CPHB. Some of the items on our agenda include:
- ESA First Year Representative election (polls close September 11th at 5pm)
- ESA board introductions
- Upcoming opportunity to meet with an Outstanding Alumni award recipient
- Epi Buddy Mentor reveal
We hold General Meetings for all students every month, so be on the lookout for future Outlook Calendar invites!
With the recent influx of nearly 30,000 students on campus, many of us have already caught a virus or two. Please use the CDC's Respiratory Virus Guidelines to help keep our families and community safe.
