Air conditioning reminders

Check your thermostat settings

Dear residents,

On Monday, in preparation for the extreme heat this week, we sent you a list of actions to help keep your room cool, including the directive to set your thermostat at 69 degrees or higher to prevent condensation, which could lead to a host of room concerns, including negative impact on your electronic devices.

Our facilities and maintenance staff will be making rounds starting at noon. If they see a room with a visible facilities concern (e.g. condensation on the outside wall), they will follow protocol to knock and enter the room to reset the temperature to 69 degrees. Rooms that require multiple visits by maintenance to reset the temperature may be subject to follow up by hall staff.
