SSW Alumni Newsletter

Hi, Samantha,

Welcome to the fall edition of the SSW newsletter!

We’re delighted to share this brief fall update with you. In this issue, you’ll find inspiring stories showcasing the innovative work of our alumni, faculty, and staff—and the meaningful impact they’re making in the field of social work.

As we enter student recruitment season, we’re excited to highlight opportunities in our MSW programs offered in Iowa City, Des Moines, Sioux City, and online, as well as our PhD program.

We also invite you to join us for an upcoming Continuing Education event on November 14, focused on Neurodegenerative Conditions and Mental Health. This virtual training is part of our growing professional development offerings for social work practitioners.

Finally, we offer a heartfelt tribute to Clinical Assistant Professor Sharaine Webster, whose recent passing is deeply felt across our community. Her compassion and dedication continue to inspire us.

Thank you for being a valued member of the SSW community.

Miriam J. Landsman, PhD, MSW
Director, School of Social Work
