The Department of Computer Science looks forward to welcoming you Monday 4-6pm in the Old Capitol Senate Chamber and Rotunda to celebrate Bill Decker* — recipient of a 2024 Honorary Doctor of Science degree.

Light refreshments to be served; remarks will begin at 4:30pm.

Bill’s honorary degree acknowledges his contributions to national technology policy, computer networking, and his extraordinary lifetime of service to the University of Iowa. The degree will be conferred on Saturday, May 11, at the morning College of Liberal Arts and Sciences commencement ceremony (The ceremony will be livestreamed with captions enabled.)
