Searching for jobs on Handshake shouldn’t make you HOWL – read on for ways to make your search FANGTASTIC!

Log into your Handshake account and click on “Jobs” on the left.

Keywords

• Enter a keyword to begin your search - Accounting or Psychology for example.
• A list of relevant positions will be displayed on the left-hand side.
• You can click on an icon to save the job and go back to it later. There is a “Saved” link at the top of the screen on the Jobs page where you can view your saved jobs.

Filters

• Narrow down the search using Filters – you can choose location, internship or full-time, etc.
• Or, click on “All Filters” to the right of the keyword search box to see more options such as “Interviewing On Campus” (to see the employers who are interviewing UI students).

Save Jobs

• First choose a keyword and run a search.
• Then you can click on “Save Your Search” at the top of the jobs list. You can set notifications for how you would like to be alerted about new jobs that meet your criteria.

Don't be SCARED to Get Noticed during our RESUME BOOK ROUND UP event!

Opt-in to be included in a resume book that will be shared with employers in these industries. Employers find resume books useful in their recruiting techniques and can easily get connected to students who have opted in.

If you are interested in participating, please RSVP by Sunday, October 22, 5 pm and make sure your resume is uploaded and public in Handshake.
