- Schedules released to students by January 30
- Student withdrawal period: January 30-February 1
- Final schedules released February 5
- OCI Interviews from February 14-16 and 21-23

2024 ACM Symposium on Computer Science and Law
Registration is now open for the 2024 ACM Symposium on Computer Science and Law, which will take place on March 12-13, 2024, at Boston University. The Symposium is a leading venue for cross-disciplinary scholarship at the intersection of computer science and law.
If you are a student (in an undergraduate, graduate, or professional degree program) at a college or university in the U.S., or a U.S. person studying abroad, and neither your advisor nor your institution can fund your participation in CSLaw’24, you may apply for NSF support to participate. Because available funds are limited, it is important to apply as soon as possible and no later than Friday, February 9. Decisions will be communicated no later than Friday, February 16.

Public Counsel Summer 2024 Internship Opportunities & Summer Program Virtual Open House Invitation
Public Counsel is hosting a Summer Program Virtual Open House on 2/15 at noon, providing an insightful look into the work of our various projects. This one-hour event will feature representatives from each of our areas of practice, discussions about the type of work summer clerks might engage in, and a Q&A session to answer any questions students might have about our summer program.
This event will not only provide valuable insights into the impactful work of our projects but also offer an opportunity for students to connect with project staff and learn about the unique opportunities available for law students at Public Counsel.

Attention 1Ls, please join Foley & Lardner for an interactive and insightful panel discussion designed to help law students navigate the fast-paced pre-OCI recruitment process known as “precruiting.” Foley attorneys will provide valuable information about the precruiting process and share their candid advice. You’ll also have a chance to learn more about Foley and engage with our panelists, other attorneys, and recruiting professionals in breakout rooms immediately following the discussion. Breakout rooms will be organized by geographic region so that participants can network and ask questions pertaining to the region(s) that interest them.

Arizona Handbook
The Government Honors & Internship Handbook (for law students and graduates) and the Public Policy Handbook (for graduate and undergraduate students interested in public policy analysis and implementation) have been in publication since 2001 and 2005. The Handbooks provide students and graduates with resources to 475+ government agencies, think tanks, and advocacy groups, offering nearly 2,000 intern, fellowship, and post-graduate positions each year.
Each opportunity is set forth in a detailed Handbook entry, describing the employer’s mission and organizational structure, position description, desired applicant qualifications, deadlines and the application and selection process.

Public Defender Mentorship Program
The Iowa State Public Defender will offer a Monday Mentors program beginning at 4:30 p.m. until 5:30 or later if warranted. It will take place every Monday thereafter at the same time and via the same zoom link provided below. The idea is to provide a time for young public defenders, contract attorneys, and aspiring law students to ask questions whether related to a specific case, criminal defense in general, or career questions, and obtain feedback and guidance from others similarly situated and from defense attorneys with years of experience. Breakout rooms will be provided as needed to facilitate communication. We hope you take advantage of this program. If you are interested in public defense, and cannot make the Monday meetings, please reach out to Kimberly DePalma at kdepalma@spd.state.ia.us.
