**Rescheduled** Navigating The Federal & State Court Clerkships Applications – Don’t Miss the Boat
Are you interested in a judicial clerkship for the 2025 term but you're worried you missed out? Don't worry, the boat hasn't sailed just yet. This program will cover the upcoming opportunities to secure a judicial clerkship for the 2025-26 term. We will go over how to research and apply for these positions.

Reminder - Iowa Law Summer Recruitment Schedules
The June Recruitment Program (JRP) is now closed. The timeline for the reaming JRP schedule:
- June 14th - Employers received applicant packets and may begin scheduling interviews directly with students.
- July 12th - Offers must be made to students by this date.
- July 18th - Students must notify employers of their decision.
All interviews with students through the JRP will be scheduled by the employer and not through the career services office. If you receive and accept an offer, please let Career Services know.
The July Recruitment Program (JVI) is now closed. The timeline for the reaming JVI schedule:
- July Virtual Interviewing - July Virtual Interviewing is comprised of preselect and Ranked Interest Selection candidates. Employers may pre-select 50% of the students they interview. The remaining 50% of the schedule is filled by ranked interest selection: students who applied to interview and are highly interested in the employer. Virtual interviews will be scheduled by the Career Services Office.

- July 9th-July 11th – Student interview accept/decline period
- July 16th – Schedules to employers and students
- July 23rd-26th –Virtual Interviews
- Resume Collect – Employers will collect resumes of interested candidates and will schedule interviews directly with candidates on whatever timeline the employer prefers.
- Important Dates:
- May 28th-June 21st - Student bidding period.
- June 24th - Employers receive applicant packets and are free to schedule interviews directly with students at their convenience.

NACC Child Welfare Law Career Fair
Join NACC’s 2nd annual Child Welfare Law Career Fair! The Career Fair promotes positions in child welfare law offices and agencies for law students, recent grads, new attorneys, and persons with lived experience in foster care. Additionally, the Career Fair offers the opportunity to network with NACC members and law office leaders from across the country.Networking, resume-swapping, and scheduling interviews will occur during the Sunday 4:00PM – 6:00PM Career Fair.
Students/prospective candidates will be responsible for providing their resumes onsite to employers and scheduling interviews. As we get closer to the event, you will receive an email with all the information you will need to be prepared including travel information, a roster of open positions and organizations, and on-site instructions. Participants are welcome to contact applicants or employers before the event, or simply introduce themselves at the Career Fair.

Public Defender Mentorship Program
The Iowa State Public Defender will offer a Monday Mentors program beginning at 4:30 p.m. until 5:30 or later if warranted. It will take place every Monday thereafter at the same time and via the same zoom link provided below. The idea is to provide a time for young public defenders, contract attorneys, and aspiring law students to ask questions whether related to a specific case, criminal defense in general, or career questions, and obtain feedback and guidance from others similarly situated and from defense attorneys with years of experience. Breakout rooms will be provided as needed to facilitate communication. We hope you take advantage of this program. If you are interested in public defense, and cannot make the Monday meetings, please reach out to Kimberly DePalma at kdepalma@spd.state.ia.us.
