This message is intended for all campus contacts that receive program of study (POS) memo updates via email from the Office of the Registrar.
At the request of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and with approval from the Office of the Provost, an oxford comma will be added to the name of the Division of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures in MAUI Academic Organizations, effective fall 2024. This change aligns with the University of Iowa Editorial Style Guide provided by the Office of Strategic Communication and will be reflected in the 2024-25 General Catalog.
As a note, the fall 2024 session begins on August 26, 2024. Although changes in MAUI and MyUI will not be reflected until this date, departments are encouraged to update their websites and materials at their earliest convenience.
