This message is being sent to all campus contacts that receive program of study (POS) memo updates via email from the Office of the Registrar.
At the request of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Gender, Women's, and Sexuality Studies program has been renamed to add an oxford comma, effective immediately. Adding an oxford comma aligns with the UI Office of Strategic Communication's editorial style guide and creates consistency between the existing academic unit stored in MAUI academic organizations and different platforms where the program name is being used. The General Catalog will be updated to reflect this change.
This change automatically updated any existing Gender, Women's, and Sexuality Studies programs of study. The updated program name should appear on current and future student records automatically. Please review and update your records accordingly.
