Updates to the BS in Statistics

This message is intended for all campus contacts that receive program of study (POS) memo updates via email from the Office of the Registrar.

At the request of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and with approval from the Office of the Provost, the following subprograms will be ended, effective fall 2025. The BS in statistics with no subprogram will reopen and be available for admission, effective fall 2025. 

• Statistics (Statistical Computing and Data Science) BS
• Statistics (Mathematical Statistics) BS
• Statistics (Statistics in Business, Industry, Government and Research) BS

Students in the ending programs of study can complete their degree requirements, but no new students should be admitted after summer 2025. 

Please update your records accordingly.
