Commencement at IOWA

Congratulations Class of 2019!

You are receiving this message because we have a fall 2019 Degree Application on file for you. If you are not planning on graduating or attending commencement this fall, you can disregard this message.

Join us in celebrating you and all the accomplishments of the University of Iowa's Class of 2019 at fall commencement!

All majors from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and University College will be recognized.

No tickets are required. Doors to the arena will open at 8 a.m. and the ceremony is expected to last around two hours.

 

Arriving at the Arena

Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of your ceremony.

Guests use South and West doors.

Graduates only may use East doors for express entry. Graduates are not required to enter through the East doors but it is highly recommended. 

Signage indicating Name Card pick-up areas will be located near the entrances. Cards are arranged in alphabetical order by last name. Proceed to your designated area to retrieve your Name Card.

Fill out the reverse side of your card, providing contact information where photo proofs can be sent. Hold onto your card! You will hand it to the name reader before you cross the stage.

Plan to return to the same area at 8:45 to line-up for the processional.
