Our records indicate that you advise one or more students who have applied for a spring or summer 2025 degree but have not yet RSVP’d for commencement.
To help ensure students have the necessary information, we are reaching out to advisors for assistance in reminding spring and summer 2025 degree applicants to check their university email for messages from our team about how to RSVP.
Commencement RSVP Details
The RSVP is opt-in, meaning only students who RSVP as "I plan to participate" by Sunday, April 13, at 11:59 p.m. will have their names read and displayed during the ceremony broadcast.
By submitting an RSVP, students will receive important updates, including regalia ordering instructions and ceremony details. Those not planning to attend are encouraged to select "I do not plan to participate" in MyUI.
How to RSVP:
Students can RSVP through MyUI under the Degrees/Graduation tile by selecting Commencement Attendance. A confirmation email will be sent to their university email account once the RSVP is finalized.
Students must have a completed degree application before they can RSVP for commencement.
Important Note for Summer 2025 Degree Applicants
While summer 2025 degree applicants may participate in the spring 2025 commencement ceremony, their names will not appear in the spring program. Instead, they will be included in the fall 2025 commencement program. Learn more about inclusion in the commencement program.
Advisor Access in MAUI
Advisors have view-only access to students' RSVP status in MyUI. Please do not make changes—students should update their RSVP themselves in MyUI. More MAUI RSVP information and best practices can be found on the MAUI Help website.
