Spring 2026 Commencement Program Information

You are receiving this message because our records show you have a spring 2026 degree application on file, and that your current directory restriction settings will prevent your name from appearing in the printed University of Iowa Commencement Program.

Want Your Name in the Program?

Review your directory settings in MyUI by Sunday, April 12, 2026. Learn more about how to review your data restrictions on the commencement website.

Your name will be excluded from the program if you answered "Yes" to either of these questions:

  • Do you want to remove your name and address information from the university directory?
  • Do you want to prohibit public release of academic information (major, college, class, degrees received, dates of attendance, and full/part-time status)?

To ensure your name appears in the program:

  • Visit MyUI → Student Data Restriction page.
  • Select "No" for both questions above.

About the Commencement Program

The University of Iowa Commencement Program lists degree candidates by degree type within each college.

  • Inclusion in the program does not verify degree completion and is not tied to ceremony participation.
  • Students earning degrees in summer and fall appear in the fall program, even if they participate in a spring ceremony.
  • Applying for a degree after the application deadline may result in exclusion from the commencement program.
  • Students with directory restrictions in MyUI will also be excluded.
