Tickets are not required, and seating is not limited for any spring 2026 collegiate commencement ceremony.

Regalia Ordering Options

Regalia is available for purchase through the Herff Jones online portal (home shipping available) and at the Iowa Hawk Shop and University Bookstore in the Iowa Memorial Union (limited availability).

Order online by April 17 to have your regalia shipped to your home. Shipping fees apply.

Important: All graduates must have their regalia before their commencement ceremony. Regalia will not be available for purchase or rental at the ceremonies.

Graduation Support Program

The Dean of Students Graduation Support Program provides financial assistance to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students facing financial hardship. This support ensures that all students, regardless of financial circumstances, can take part in commencement ceremonies.

Commencement Program Information

The University of Iowa Commencement Program lists degree candidates by degree type within each college.

• Inclusion in the program does not verify degree completion and is not tied to ceremony participation.
• Students earning degrees in summer and fall appear in the fall program, even if they participate in a spring ceremony.
• Applying for a degree after the application deadline may result in exclusion from the commencement program.
• Students with directory restrictions in MyUI will be excluded.
• The online program will be published during commencement week in the Programs section of the commencement website.

Venues, Livestream, and Commemorative Slides

Ceremony Venues

Spring 2026 ceremonies will be held at the following venues. Visit your venue page for information on parking, prohibited items, entrances, and accessibility.  

• Carver-Hawkeye Arena
• Hancher Auditorium

Note: Carver-Hawkeye Arena ceremonies will adhere to a clear bag policy. Carver is not air-conditioned; please plan accordingly. 

Livestream Details

All ceremonies will be livestreamed with captions on the University of Iowa YouTube channel.

• Access through your ceremony’s “Livestream” section.
• Degrees will be conferred, and graduates who RSVP’d "I plan to participate" will be individually recognized.
• Streams will remain available for viewing after the event.

Commemorative Slides

• You can submit a photo for your commemorative slide in MyUI by Monday, April 27, 2026.
• Slides are for personal keepsakes and will not be displayed during in-person ceremonies.

Guest Information

• Guests do not need tickets to attend any spring 2026 ceremony.
• Encourage your guests to sign up for the spring 2026 Commencement Guest Newsletter to receive updates and reminders.
