Our records indicate you have applied for a spring 2026 degree but have not yet RSVP’d for commencement.

RSVP Details

RSVPs are required to participate in commencement.

  • Select ‘I plan to participate’ by Sunday, April 12, to RSVP. Students who RSVP and attend will have their names read and displayed during the ceremony.
  • You will receive a confirmation email once your RSVP is submitted.
  • Select “I do not plan to participate” if you are not attending your ceremony. This option will remove you from ceremony reminders and updates.

Order Your Regalia

The Herff Jones online ordering portal is now open. Limited quantities of regalia are available at the Iowa Hawk Shop and University Bookstore in the Iowa Memorial Union.

Order Deadlines

  • March 13 –Order online for pickup at GradFest on April 15 and then at the Iowa Hawk Shop.
  • April 17 – Order online for home delivery (shipping fees apply).

All graduates must have their regalia before the ceremony. Regalia will not be available for purchase or rental at ceremonies.

The Dean of Students Graduation Support Program provides financial assistance to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students facing financial hardship. This support ensures that all students, regardless of financial circumstances, can take part in commencement ceremonies.

Commencement Program Information

The University of Iowa Commencement Program lists degree candidates by degree type within each college.

  • Inclusion in the program does not verify degree completion and is not tied to ceremony participation.
  • Students earning degrees in summer and fall appear in the fall program, even if they participate in a spring ceremony.
  • Applying for a degree after the application deadline may result in exclusion from the commencement program.
  • Students with directory restrictions in MyUI will be excluded. Learn more about how to review your data restrictions on the commencement website.
