How to RSVP for Your Ceremony
To participate in your commencement ceremony, you must submit your RSVP in MyUI by Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
Your degree application and your commencement RSVP are separate. Applying for your degree does not automatically register you for your ceremony.
RSVP Details
- Select “I plan to participate” in MyUI by April 12 to have your name read and displayed during the ceremony you attend.
- You will receive a confirmation email once your RSVP is submitted.
- If you do not plan to participate, select “I do not plan to participate” to stop receiving ceremony reminders.
Order Your Regalia
All graduates must have their regalia before the ceremony. Regalia will not be available for purchase or rental at ceremonies.
The Herff Jones online ordering portal is open. Limited quantities of regalia are also available at the Iowa Hawk Shop and University Bookstore in the Iowa Memorial Union.
Order Deadlines
- April 17 – Order online for home delivery (shipping fees apply).
Regalia ordered by March 13 for in-person pickup can be picked up at GradFest on April 15, or at the Iowa Hawk Shop if you are unable to attend GradFest.
