Commencement RSVP is Open

Our records show you have a summer or fall 2026 degree application on file, so you are eligible to RSVP for commencement.

Planning to participate in your fall commencement ceremony? The RSVP is now open in MyUI!

• RSVP is opt-in. Only students who select “I plan to participate” and attend the ceremony will have their names read and displayed during the livestream.
• Visit MyUI → Commencement Attendance to RSVP.
• After submitting your RSVP, you will receive a confirmation email to your university email account.
• Not attending? Select “I do not plan to participate” to stop receiving RSVP reminders.
• The RSVP will remain open until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8.

Get Your Regalia

The Herff Jones online ordering portal is now open. Limited quantities of regalia are available at the Iowa Hawk Shop and University Bookstore in the Iowa Memorial Union.

Order Deadlines

• Nov. 2 – Order online for pickup at the Iowa Hawk Shop.
• Nov. 11– Order online for home delivery (shipping fees apply).

All graduates must have their regalia before the ceremony. Regalia will not be available for purchase or rental at ceremonies.

Graduation Support Program

The Dean of Students Graduation Support Program provides financial assistance to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students facing financial hardship. This support ensures that all students, regardless of financial circumstances, can take part in commencement ceremonies.

Next Steps for Ceremony Participation

• Visit the ceremonies page on the commencement website and select your college for ceremony-specific details, including date, time, location, and instructions.
• Students will receive important updates via their university email account, while guests can sign up for the Fall 2026 Guest Newsletter to stay informed.
• Add or edit your commemorative commencement slide photo by the deadline. Slides are for personal use only and are not displayed at in-person ceremonies.

Commencement Program

The University of Iowa Commencement Program lists degree candidates by degree type within each college.

• Your inclusion in the program is not tied to your participation in the ceremony and does not verify degree completion. 
• Students earning degrees in summer and fall appear in the fall program, even if they participate in a spring ceremony.
• Applying for a degree after the application deadline may result in exclusion from the commencement program.
• Students with directory restrictions in MyUI may also be excluded. Learn more about how to review your data restrictions.

Action Required: Review your directory restriction settings in MyUI by Sunday, Nov. 15, 2026.
