The American College of Dentists (ACD) is the oldest major honorary organization for dentists and its mission is to advance excellence, ethics, professionalism, and leadership in dentistry. Each year, worthy candidates are nominated for Fellowship in the College. Since the 2020 ADA-FDA Annual Session was not conducted in-person this year, tha virtual 2020 Centennial Convocation was held, during which the Iowa Section of the ACD nominated new fellows. The new fellows for the Iowa Section include Dr. Fabricio Teixeira, chair of the Department of Endodontics, and two Iowa Alumni, Dr. Carolyn P. Larsen (’86 DDS) and Dr. James A. Larsen (’86 DDS). The slide deck announcing each of the new fellows in the Iowa Section is available here.

Complete your Working at Iowa Survey
Today, Friday, October 30, is the last day faculty and staff can fill out the Working at Iowa survey and the Qualtrics entry form to be eligible for a prize. To participate in this brief survey, search your emails for an email from “Working at IOWA” or the email address “survey-bounce@survey.uiowa.edu” and click on the link to complete your Working at Iowa Survey. Then, find the Qualtrics entry form link by looking for an email from “gina-pottorff@uiowa.edu.” You must complete BOTH the Working at Iowa survey and the Qualtrics entry form to be eligible for a prize. We will draw the last 12 individuals after the Working at Iowa Survey has closed. Winners will be contacted next week to pick up their prize. Unless someone shares with you that he or she won, all prizewinners will remain anonymous due to the anonymity of the Working at Iowa survey. Contact Gina Pottorff or Michelle McQuistan with any questions. The COD values your feedback!
