Fall 2021 Course Offering Update

If a change to your current delivery mode is needed, consultation and approval from your Associate Dean is required.  This should occur in very rare instances as registration and first-year orientation are well underway and student notification will be required, if approved.  Please submit an email which includes the Associate Dean’s authorization to Char Maher at the Office of the Registrar.

For consistency of the fall 2021 academic session, it is requested that any section that uses a Hybrid delivery mode choose between the two options of Hybrid without Rotation or Hybrid with Rotation.  Please note these two modes will eventually expire after the start of the fall session to make way for a new mode effective for spring 2022.  If exception to the Hybrid mode option is desired, please email Renee Houser at the Office of the Registrar to discuss future action.

Spring 2022 Course Offering Update

A new single delivery mode option of “Hybrid” will be offered effective for spring 2022 forward.  The definition is very similar in nature to the current meaning, but the text revised to no longer include statement of a percentage of rotation or the amount of expected in-person instruction.  Now that we are departing from our previous COVID-19 academic sessions, we can look forward to a more generalized term that will be more adaptable for campus use.

New delivery mode and definition = Hybrid:  A flexible course where students will have both face to face and virtual instruction.

In the case a section offering with a maximum enrollment projection of 150 or greater desires to permanently retain “Web” delivery mode to remain an online section for spring 2022, please contact your Associate Dean with justification and pedagogy review.  Upon approval from the Dean’s Office, please email Char Maher at the Office of the Registrar and include the Associate Dean’s authorization to discuss next steps with the Office of the Registrar.

Sections with a maximum enrollment of 149 and below and with a Hybrid delivery mode will be reported and reviewed by the Associate Dean throughout the planning of this new term.  If concern is raised, contact will be made to the department for further discussion.
