The RSVP deadline for fall 2022 has been extended to 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022. The RSVP process at Iowa is an opt-in system. Students should respond “I plan to participate” before the deadline if they plan to attend a ceremony. The RSVP portal is located in MyUI.
The following message was sent this morning to all fall 2022 degree applicants who have a fall ceremony and have not yet RSVP'd: RSVP Extension for Fall 2022 Commencement

Ceremony details: Visit the commencement ceremonies page and find the college your student is graduating from for important information about the ceremony.
Apparel (cap and gown): Visit the commencement apparel page for information on how to purchase apparel. Apparel will not be available for purchase at the ceremonies.
Deadlines/Reminders
Students can add or edit their RSVP attendance response in MyUI until the end of the day on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022.
Students can add or edit a graduation slide photo until Sunday, Dec. 4, 2022. Slides are for personal use and are not used at the in-person ceremonies.
Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa–sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact the collegiate commencement coordinator of your ceremony in advance.
