This email is being sent to all academic department administrators and deans on campus.
The Fall 2018 course offerings are currently available on MyUI. We are now scheduling University Classroom spaces for Fall 2018 evening midterm exam room requests.
Please continue reading for information on changes to the evening exam request process.
Requests will need to be submitted by Monday, April 2, 2018, to ensure this information is present in time for Fall 2018 early registration.
The approved evening exam time periods are:
- 1 1/2 Hour Exams: 6:30-8:00pm or 8:45-10:15pm.
- 2 Hour Exams: 6:30-8:30pm.
- All Other Exams must begin at 6:30pm.
Beginning with the Summer 2018 session, evening exam requests must now be submitted online via the Exam Needs Tool in MAUI Offerings Planner, in a manner similar to the Final Exam Needs submission process. Information on how to submit evening exam requests via the exam needs tool can be found here: Evening Midterm Exam Submission Instructions.
Those requests submitted early will have a better opportunity at securing their preferred dates and times. Due to the changes in how evening exam needs are submitted, only individuals with Offerings Planner access for your department will be able to
submit evening midterm exam needs. This means that instructors won't be able to submit evening midterm exam needs unless they have Offerings Planner access.
Only Spring 2018 evening exam room requests may be submitted by completing the Evening Exam Room Request Form. This form will not be accepted for Summer or Fall 2018 requests.
Policies regarding general examinations may be found on the Office of the Registrar's website.
Reminder: University classrooms with an actual seating capacity of 100 or more have been outfitted with seat and row number identifications. Seating layout plans for these rooms are available online to assist faculty as they make their exam arrangements.
Please share this information with your faculty and staff. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the Office of the Registrar.
