Sony is inviting Focused Research Award proposals. This program supports focused exploration of promising research areas and provides up to $150,000 in funding, with the possibility of renewal for subsequent years. Areas of interest include generative and multimodal AI, creative AI and digital content, knowledge representation and reasoning, human-AI interaction, AI for games and entertainment, trustworthy AI and content provenance, and cloud-based creative technologies. National Science Foundation (NSF) announces $1.5B for foundational research opportunities. The NSF has announced 12 funding opportunities representing $1.5 billion in support for foundational research across science and engineering. These opportunities include both long-term awards for ambitious, transformative research and shorter-term grants designed to rapidly test promising ideas. Together, they support NSF’s mission to advance scientific breakthroughs, open new frontiers of knowledge, strengthen U.S. competitiveness and national security, and improve quality of life.

| Description: The National Institutes of Health (NIH) invites applications for the Seed Instrumentation Support (SIS) Program (S10 Clinical Trial Not Allowed). This aims to build new research capacity and develop a sustainable research program by supporting the purchase of a single commercially available biomedical research instrument currently unavailable in the institution. Instruments funded through this program must be shared among the users to create new research opportunities, enable reproducible data generation, encourage collaborative research and training, and strengthen long-term research capabilities.
