NSF releases the Unlocking Dataset Value for AI-Enabled Scientific Discovery (AI Datasets)
This program seeks to make existing scientific datasets more accessible, easier to integrate, and better suited for AI-driven automated analysis. Projects may apply AI-based methods for feature extraction, metadata generation, and the integration of multiple datasets; develop robust data pipelines that enable automated analysis of existing datasets by AI tools and systems; and augment and harmonize existing datasets to improve their use in AI data pipelines and automated analysis. The deadline is November 4, 2026.
Iowa NASA EPSCoR Office released two solicitations to encourage future NASA proposals

- Research Building Seed Grant: The Iowa NASA EPSCoR Research Building Seed Grant (RBSG) program encourages, supports, and facilitates the development and enhancement of NASA relevant science and engineering research within the State of Iowa. Funding is intended to build research infrastructure and help Iowa’s academic faculty establish NASA collaborations in order to become nationally competitive for NASA EPSCoR research funding. They are expected to make four awards this year, up to $30,600 each (including indirect costs), with a 50% match requirement. Proposals will be due September 7, 2026.
- Partnership Development Travel Grant: The specific goals and objectives of Iowa NASA EPSCoR include improving research connections between Iowa researchers and NASA collaborators. This grant funds up to $7,650 (including indirect costs) with a 25% match requirement. Awards will be made on a rolling basis until funds are depleted.

| Description: The Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Awards Program supports the research and teaching careers of talented early career faculty in the chemical sciences. The Foundation seeks Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholars who, as independent faculty members, demonstrate leadership in original scholarly research of outstanding quality, as well as innovation in and dedication to education. Recommendations for awards are based upon compelling evidence that the nominee’s independent scholarly research has led to important advances in the chemical sciences, and will continue to do so.
