ARPA-H launches a program to accelerate rare disease diagnosis with AI.

The Rare Disease AI/ML for Precision Integrated Diagnostics (RAPID) program aims to transform the diagnosis of rare and ultra-rare diseases by developing highly accurate AI-based detection models. RAPID seeks to develop provider-facing tools that prioritize data interoperability and integration into existing clinical workflows, ensuring scalability across health care organizations.

ARPA-H launches a program to extent the health span of Americans.

The PROactive Solutions for Prolonging Resilience (PROSPR) program builds on foundational work by the National Institute of Aging and will work with industry and regulators to accelerate the testing and availability of new therapeutics targeted at health span.

HRSA: AIDS Education and Training Center National Clinician Consultation Center

Description: The AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC) Program consists of a network of HIV experts who collectively work to increase and support a workforce capable of and dedicated to providing care and treatment to people with or at risk of HIV nationally. As an integral part of the AETC Program’s strategy to build the HIV workforce, the National Clinician Consultation Center (NCCC) serves as a centralized hub of experts in HIV, substance use disorders, and sexually transmitted infections who are available via a state-of-the-art call center (telephone-based warmlines and a hotline) and through internet-based educational consultation services.

HRSA: Black Lung Data and Resource Center

Description: This program funds the Black Lung Data Resource Center (BLDRC). The BLDRC provides technical assistance to clinics funded through the Black Lung Clinics Program (BLCP). Products of the BLDRC will improve health care for people who suffer from black lung. The BLDRC provides support and improvements related to: Patient-level data collection and analysis, Clinic operations, and Quality and breadth of clinic services.

CDC: PEP Packs: Postexposure Prophylaxis Packs for Immediate Access to HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infection Prevention

Description: The purpose of this notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) is to support an implementation research study. In this study, optimal strategies will be assessed for a postexposure prophylaxis (PEP) in pocket (PiP) approach for prevention of HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) among disproportionately affected populations, for example, gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM) and transgender women (TGW).

CDC: Develop and Test HIV Prevention Interventions for Black and Hispanic Gay, Bisexual, and Other Men Who Have Sex with Men Who Use Substances

Description: The purpose of this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is to support pilot research to develop and test behavioral implementation strategies for biomedical interventions (e.g., oral PrEP, condoms) to improve HIV and STI prevention implementation among disproportionately affected populations, especially Black/African American (Black) and Hispanic/Latino (Hispanic) gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM) without HIV who report substance use (drug or alcohol).
