Funding Landscape

Iowa NASA EPSCoR office is request proposals from UI researchers to NASA EPSCoR Partnership Development Travel Grants.

The program aims to connect researchers and industry professionals within Iowa by funding travel. This helps them share ideas, explore new research areas, and collaborate better with NASA, industry, and other organizations in Iowa. Award amount is up to $7,650 with a 25% cost share required. This is open until funds are depleted. 

NIH issues a request for applications to the Advancing Vision Health Equity through Multi-level Interventions and Community-Engaged Research Program.

The purpose of this initiative is to implement and evaluate multi-level interventions and community engaged research in advancing vision equity.  This supports research directed at preventing, reducing, or eliminating disparities in eye and vision health.

HRSA: Rural Health Network Development Planning Program

Description: The Rural Health Network Development Planning Program supports the planning and development of integrated health care networks in rural areas that collaborate to: achieve efficiencies, expand access to, coordinate, and improve the quality of basic health care services and associated health outcomes, and strengthen the rural health care system as a whole.

NSF: Materials Innovation Platforms (MIP)

Description: The Materials Innovation Platforms (MIP) is a mid-scale infrastructure program in the Division of Materials Research (DMR) designed to accelerate advances in materials research. MIPs respond to the increasing complexity of materials research that requires close collaboration of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary teams and access to cutting edge tools. These tools in a user facility benefit both a user program and in-house research, which focus on addressing grand challenges of fundamental science and meet national needs. In 2025, MIP will accept proposals on alloys, amorphous, and composite materials.
