Robert Wood Johnson issues a new funding opportunity for research on state preemption policies impact to racial justice and health equity.
This opportunity supports the evidence base investigation of how preemption policies at the state level may affect racial justice and health equity. Research should focus on how state-level preemption impacts local authority; apply a racial equity lens to the policy research processes and outcomes; and include community groups and/or members, especially those from historically marginalized communities, as leaders or partners in all stages of the research.

HRSA: Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training- Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults (BHWET-CAY) Program for Professionals

Description: The purpose of the BHWET-CAY Program is to increase the supply and distribution of behavioral health providers in rural and underserved communities to address the behavioral health needs of children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 16-25). The BHWET-CAY Program aims to address specific bottlenecks in recruiting and training behavioral health professionals including by providing stipends to support trainees during their clinical/experiential training and by increasing the supply of and training for clinical supervisors overseeing trainees.

HRSA: Maternity Care Nursing Workforce Expansion (MatCare) Program

Description: The purpose of the MatCare Program is to support accredited nurse midwifery programs to train nurse midwives through trainee scholarships, stipends, curriculum enhancement, and community-based training. The program seeks to grow and diversify the maternal and perinatal health nursing workforce through support for education and training in rural and underserved communities.

DOE: Scientific Infrastructure Support for Consolidated Innovative Nuclear Research

Description: The Office of Nuclear Energy (NE) mission is to advance nuclear energy science and technology to meet U.S. energy, environmental, and economic needs. NE has identified the following goals to address challenges in the nuclear energy sector, help realize the potential of advanced technology, and leverage the unique role of the government in spurring innovation: 1) Keep existing U.S. nuclear reactors operating, 2) Deploy new nuclear reactors, 3) Secure and sustain our nuclear fuel cycle, 4) Expand international nuclear energy cooperation.

NSF: Cyberinfrastructure Technology Acceleration Pathway

Description: The Advanced Cyberinfrastructure Coordination Ecosystem of Support and Services (ACCESS) program provides an array of national-scale CI services to the S&E research community, including integrated coordination of users’ requests for computational and data resources; integration of resource providers’ systems; deployment of technical support; monitoring of system usage; user training; and communication and outreach to the CI and research communities.

Scleroderma Foundation: Established Investigator Grant

Description: The National Scleroderma Foundation seeks applications from promising established investigators both inside and outside the field of scleroderma research who wish to propose pilot studies to obtain preliminary data dealing with a highly innovative and/or highly relevant theme related to the disease. This grant will support pilot research that is likely to lead to more substantial unlimited research project grants from federal or non-federal sources.
