Funding Landscape

National Institute for Health Care Management (NIHCM) Foundation is accepting letters of inquiry (LOI) for the foundation's investigator-initiated research grant program.

NIHCM Foundation supports innovative, independent, investigator-initiated research with a high potential to inform improvements to the United States health care system. Grants provide funding for projects that advance the evidence-base in areas such as health care financing, affordability, delivery, management and/or policy. LOI are due June 28, 2024.

Department of Energy Announces $160 Million for Research to Form Microelectronics Science Research Centers.

DOE announces $160 million to secure the future of American leadership in semiconductor innovation by implementing a key provision in the historic CHIPS and Science Act of 2022, Microelectronics Research for Energy Innovation. This funding will support the formation of Microelectronics Science Research Centers (MSRCs) focused on energy efficiency and extreme environments. Required pre-proposals are due May 30, 2024.

NIH: Nutrition Obesity Research Centers (P30 Clinical Trial Optional)

Description: This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) invites applications from institutions/organizations that propose to establish core centers that are part of an integrated and existing program of nutrition and/or obesity research. The Nutrition Obesity Research Centers (NORC) program is designed to support and enhance the national research effort in nutrition and obesity. NORCs support three primary research-related activities: Research Core services, a Pilot and Feasibility (P and F) program, and an Enrichment program.

NIH: Nutrition Obesity Research Centers Research Resource Center (RRC) (P2C- Clinical Trial Optional)

Description: This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) invites applications from institutions/organizations that propose to establish a Research Resource Center (RRC) for the NIDDK Nutrition Obesity Research Centers (NORC) Program. The RRC will (1) provide administrative support for the entire NORC Program, (2) establish and curate a NORC Program website and centralized repository of research resources, (3) implement a multi-pronged approach to support and grow a diverse early-to-midcareer research workforce with a goal of maximizing national outreach and impact, (4) administer and manage a NORC Opportunity Program to address gaps and promote collaboration, and (5) manage a Pilot and Feasibility Program.

Description: NSF INCLUDES is a comprehensive, national initiative to enhance U.S. leadership in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) discovery and innovation, focused on NSF's commitment to ensuring accessibility and inclusivity in STEM fields, as communicated in the NSF Strategic Plan for Fiscal Years (FY) 2022 - 2026. The vision of NSF INCLUDES is to catalyze the STEM enterprise to work collaboratively for inclusive change, resulting in a STEM workforce that reflects the diversity of the Nation's population. More specifically, NSF INCLUDES seeks to motivate and accelerate collaborative infrastructure building to advance equity and sustain systemic change to broaden participation in STEM fields at scale.
