Funding Landscape

The National Institute for Health Care Management Foundation (NIHCM) is accepting letters of inquiry for the Foundation's Research Grant program.

The NIHCM Foundation funds research that can help improve the cost and quality of health care in the U.S. The Foundation is looking for projects that can guide managed care organizations, policymakers, and others in the health care field. Letters of inquiry must be in these topic areas: drug pricing and affordability, provider consolidation & market power, health care delivery, chronic disease management, and artificial intelligence.

The American Heart Association (AHA) requests applications for the Career Development Award, which supports early-career faculty members.

This grant supports basic, clinical, behavioral, translational and population research, bioengineering/biotechnology and public health problems broadly related to fulfilling the AHA mission. It enables early career faculty to pursue innovative research questions or pilot studies, providing the preliminary data and training needed to build a successful career as a research scientist.

Susan G. Komen Career Transition Award (CTA)

Description: This Susan G. Komen grant mechanism aims to help outstanding senior postdoctoral fellows and clinical fellows, working under the guidance of a mentor, launch their competitive, independent breast cancer research careers. Career Transition Awards provide up to five years of funding in two phases: Phase 1 supports the final years of mentored, postdoctoral training; and Phase 2 supports the independent research of the early career, tenure-track investigators. By supporting the most promising scientists and clinician-scientists as they embark on independent careers dedicated to breast cancer research, Komen seeks to ensure that a diverse group of highly trained scientists, who reflect the communities we serve, will emerge as the next generation of leaders in breast cancer research.

Reminder: NSF: Scholarships in STEM Network (S-STEM-Net): S-STEM Research Hubs

Description: To support collaboration within the S-STEM network, NSF will fund several S-STEM Research Hubs (S-STEM-Hub). The S-STEM Network (S-STEM-Net) will collaborate to create synergies and sustain a robust national ecosystem consisting of multi-sector partners supporting domestic low-income STEM students in achieving their career goals, while also ensuring access, inclusion, and adaptability to changing learning needs. The Hubs will investigate evolving barriers to the success of this student population. It will also disseminate the context and circumstances by which interventions and practices that support graduation of domestic low-income students (both undergraduate and graduate) pursuing careers in STEM are successful.
