Funding Landscape

The ARPA-H Mission
The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (or ARPA-H) is a research funding agency that supports transformative biomedical and health breakthroughs – ranging from the molecular to the societal – to provide health solutions for all. Established on March 15, 2022, and with a current budget of $2.5 billion, the agency promotes high-potential, high-impact research that cannot be easily accomplished through traditional science or commercial activity.

Below are ways researchers at academic health centers can get involved in ARPA-H:

Apply for funding through the ARPA-H Open BAA
ARPA-H is seeking funding proposals for research aimed at improving health outcomes across a variety of patient populations, communities, diseases, and health conditions. This funding opportunity is open through March 14, 2024.

Become a Program Manager (PM) at ARPA-H

Meet with the Project Accelerator Transition and Innovation Office (PATIO)
