Hanover shared the Non-Federal Research Grants Calendar This calendar features non-federal research funding opportunities across a wide range of disciplines and sponsors.
NASA’s Earth Science Division has released the Accelerating Earth Solutions (AES) program through ROSES. This program offers a low-barrier entry point for researchers, particularly PIs new to applied or actionable science, to explore how Earth data and research methods can address real-world decision-making needs. Topics include agriculture, disasters, natural resources, health and air quality, water, wildland fire, energy, and infrastructure, with priority given to U.S.-focused work. Proposals are due October 15, 2026.
Note that each program element under ROSES has its own deadlines, review panel, and budget expectations; please see the ROSES announcement for detailed information. | | | New Limited Submission Opportunities | | Description: The purpose of this Cooperative Agreement between the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the Recipient is to facilitate engagement among Tribal government officials from federally recognized Tribes with DOE’s Office of Nuclear Energy, Office of Storage and Transportation (DOE-S&T), and DOE’s Office of Environmental Management (DOE-EM), Office of Packaging and Transportation (DOE-OPT) for planning and coordination for Departmental radioactive materials shipments, both ongoing DOE shipments of radioactive wastes and materials and for future large-scale DOE transportation of commercial used nuclear fuel (UNF)1, high-level radioactive waste (HLW), and other radioactive materials. This facilitation is an essential component of developing and implementing a successful large-scale UNF transportation program that is safe, secure, and merits public trust and confidence. Limitation: one application per institution
Internal Submission Deadline: Friday, September 11, 2026 at 12pm Sponsor Application Deadline: Wednesday, September 30, 2026
| | | First-Come, First-Served Limited Submission Opportunities | | Description: The National Institutes of Health (NIH) invites applications for the Seed Instrumentation Support (SIS) Program (S10 Clinical Trial Not Allowed). This aims to build new research capacity and develop a sustainable research program by supporting the purchase of a single commercially available biomedical research instrument currently unavailable in the institution. Instruments funded through this program must be shared among the users to create new research opportunities, enable reproducible data generation, encourage collaborative research and training, and strengthen long-term research capabilities. Limitation: one application per institution Sponsor Application Deadline: Friday, September 25, 2026 Note: The internal deadline has passed, and the number of applications received is below our institutional limit. Applicants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact RDO to apply. | Description: This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) invites applications for Diabetes Research Centers (DRCs) that are designed to support and enhance the national research effort in diabetes, its complications, and related endocrine and metabolic diseases. The purpose of this Centers program is to bring together basic and clinical investigators to enhance communication, multidisciplinary collaboration, and effectiveness of ongoing research in Diabetes Research Center topic areas. By providing shared access to specialized technical resources (research cores) and supporting a Pilot and Feasibility Program (P&F), DRCs are intended to create an environment that provides the capability for accomplishments greater than those that would be possible by individual research project grant support alone. Limitation: one application per institution Sponsor Application Deadline: Wednesday, January 27, 2027 Note: The internal deadline has passed, and the number of applications received is below our institutional limit. Applicants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact RDO to apply. | | | |
