Congratulations on your upcoming graduation!
Diplomas will be printed and released 6 - 8 weeks after graduation. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Diploma Services must make adjustments to diploma delivery options.
Student Pick-up will not be a delivery option for Spring 2020 diplomas. If you originally chose Student Pick-up as your delivery method, please log on to MyUI and update your delivery method to FedEx delivery on your degree application no later than May 8, 2020. Open your degree application in MyUI and click on the (edit) link to the left side of the screen. Scroll down to Diploma Delivery Information. Enter your diploma address and select FedEx delivery here. Be sure to click on the green Save button at the bottom of the screen.
Due to our inability to facilitate student pick-up as a dependable method of delivery for international students, the fee for FedEx deliveries to international addresses will be waived for Spring 2020 graduates. Once it is in their possession, FedEx will send you an email with a tracking number.
Please be sure to provide an accurate Diploma Delivery Address with a correct postal code on your degree application on MyUI. Your delivery address must be in English, no foreign characters please. The FedEx website will only accept 2 lines of 35 characters per line, for address entry, so some words may need to be abbreviated. (Example: Street = St.; Block = Blk.; Apartment = Apt.) *It is your responsibility to make sure FedEx can deliver to the address you provide.
It is also important for you to verify or update your residing address in MyUI to ensure you are receiving physical mail from the University of Iowa.
Diplomas will not be released to students who have outstanding U-Bill balances.
