Message from the director

Katie Buehner, MLIS, MM
Interim Director, Hardin Library for the Health Sciences

Greetings to patrons of Hardin Library! My name is Katie Buehner, and I am the director of the Rita Benton Music Library across the river. Following Janna Lawrence's retirement, I was asked to serve as interim director, an offer I happily accepted. Hardin is well-known for its excellent service, collections, and, most of all, dedicated librarians and staff. It's been a joy to see their work up close and assist in keeping the library moving forward this semester.

The job advertisement for a new director has posted and will remain open through Feb. 24, 2025. The search is planned to conclude this spring, and my thanks to the staff and faculty who have volunteered to serve on the search committee.

We hope to see you at Hardin in the weeks and months to come.

Katie
