As we near the end, we want to say good luck on your finals, and we hope that you are all taking care of yourself in the middle of deadlines. Read the 2020 Honors Newsletter!

The Honors Classroom, Experiential Learning, and Student Life is all covered by students for students, in the fall 2020 edition of the Honors Newsletter! Read about student and faculty experience with virtual learning, engagement, and quarantine here.

Earn Experiential Learning Credit for Teaching Roles

Starting next semester, the Honors Program will consider Honors students serving in teaching roles—e.g., as Teaching Assistants (TAs) or Learning Assistants (LAs)—as being engaged in teaching internships. If students wish to earn experiential learning credit they should complete the honors Teaching Assistantships/Learning Assistantships reflection assignment. This assignment consists of a pre-experience questionnaire, a post-experience questionnaire, and a narrative and is accessible on the Honors Program website.

Apply to Work at the Honors Program

Employment applications for the 2021-2022 academic year are now open! Honors student staff are an integral part of the program, and we want you to the join the team. Applications are open for various positions such as Student Admins, Honors Peer Mentors, and opportunities to work with the Honors Newsletter and Publications. Apply here before the 2nd of February 2021.

Reserve a Student Space

Are you looking for quiet and safe spaces to study, take an exam, or attend meetings? There are multiple spaces across campus that are available for students to reserve, especially in this upcoming week. Find more about these rooms and how to reserve them here.

Accepting Applications for the 2021 Washington Leadership Program

The Washington Leadership Program (WLP) is now accepting applications from high-potential South Asian American college students for an eight week summer leadership program. Students will gain a firsthand view of policy-making and legislative process, and gain access to high-profile South-Asian leaders in the nation's capital. Apply here by January 10, 2021.
