How about a faculty member whose mentoring outside of class has had a profound effect on your education and development? Consider nominating them either for the Honors Teaching Award or the Honors Mentoring Award, which are now open through March 24th! Iowa City Tattoo Intern Opportunity
Iowa City Tattoo is seeking a Social Media Manager & Administrative Assistant to manage their social media, provide appointment scheduling through email/social media, and develop a brand identity. Do you enjoy writing in your classes? Do you enjoy editing the writing of your peers? If so, think about becoming an Honors Writing Fellow! Fellows are assigned to courses across disciplines where they help students with drafts of major assignments. Applications for Fall 2021 can be found on our website and will be due on March 26.

UCS Presents: Combatting Burnout & Managing Time
You asked and we answered! Join University Counseling Services for a presentation on Combatting Burnout & Managing Time, Tuesday, March 2nd from 12-1. Register in advance to secure your spot here. Stay tuned for two other scheduled events presented by UCS for honors students this semester.

Apply for the Carver Scholarship
The Carver Scholarship is available to Iowa residents and full-time students who will be starting their junior year next fall. Eligibility requirements and further information can be found here. If you know of a student who may qualify please encourage them to file the 2021-22 FAFSA by March 1 (if they haven’t already) and apply for the scholarship by April 1.

Apply for the Portz Interdisciplinary Fellowship Program
The Portz Fellowship program is intended to support creative and innovative endeavors that cross boundaries, inviting application from individuals who wish to undertake cross disciplinary research or from a team of two students from different disciplines who propose a single collaborative project. The project will be funded for a period of up to 18 months. Honors students in good standing from 2-year colleges or 4-year colleges and universities with current Institutional membership in NCHC may apply at any point in their undergraduate studies.
