Updated GPA Removal Policy

To graduate with University Honors, a student must have a UI cumulative GPA of 3.33 or greater at the time of graduation. This means no student will be removed from the Honors program for having a sub 3.33 GPA. We realized an incongruence with encouraging students to stretch and grow via challenging themselves both in and out of the classroom and our GPA removal policy. We recognize that GPAs fluctuate each semester due to a variety of forces and are not representative of your value as a student. Please contact us with questions at honors-program@uiowa.edu
