One Day for Iowa

Want to see Dr. Spisak, the Honors Program Director get ice water dumped on his head? Well, we have an opportunity for you! Today is the annual One Day for Iowa giving day. We are not asking for students to contribute financially, rather here are some fun social media challenges you can participate in using #1DayForIowa to help us reach our goal. If we raise our goal for this year, Dr. Spisak will have a fun surprise for you! You can find the challenges here.

Experiential Learning Opportunities

Hear from Honors Ambassadors Satori Good, Noelle Ossenkop, and Maria Hallenbeck about lesser-known experiential learning opportunities, and how to earn credit for them! The session will be on Friday, March 26 from 2 PM to 3 PM via Zoom.

Learn more about public and global health

Come hear from a panel of Public Health and Global health professors and administration talking about the various paths from undergrad to graduate school. The session will be on Friday, April 2 from 1 PM to 2 PM via Zoom.

Attend ARH’s DiverseCity event!

The Associated Residence Halls (ARH) presents the FIRST annual DiverseCity event, focusing on exploring identities and learning how they impact us and those around us. This event will take place on Sunday, March 28 from 12 PM – 2.30 PM via Zoom, with an optional in-person location at the IMU (masks are required in person). Getting involved in STEM Research

Join us to learn about getting involved in STEM research to earn experiential learning credits. You’ll get to hear from Honors Ambassadors about their own STEM research experiences to help you figure out the best fit for you! The session will be on Thursday, April 1 from 6 PM to 7 PM via Zoom.

Exploring Majors and Future Plans

Still trying to settle on a major? Unsure where to start with course and career planning? We get it. Join this Zoom session with Honors Ambassadors who will help you out with useful strategies and resources for choosing the right major. The session will be on Friday, April 2 at 3 PM via Zoom.

Do you live in the residence halls? Tell University Housing & Dining your thoughts by taking this survey! Take ARH’s semesterly town hall survey that aims to get student input on construction, safety, diversity, and sustainability in the residence halls. The survey is open until Thursday, March 25!
