Honorable Messenger

Hello Honorables,

Did you know that Monday was Indigenous People's Day? While we recognize and celebrate our indigenous and Native American community, it is important to acknowledge that The University of Iowa is located on the homelands of Indigenous communities and tribal nations. Read more about Land Acknowledgement practices, and the University of Iowa Acknowledgement of Land and Sovereignty on the Native American Council's website.

October 11, last Sunday, was also National Coming Out Day. The Honors Program would like to extend our support and celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community on campus, and share The Trevor Project's comprehensive, informational, and helpful Coming Out Handbook.

Today's edition of the Honorable Messenger brings you some important deadlines, information about great upcoming events, and reminders about Honors Program requirements. If you are interested in submitting content for the Honorable Messenger, you can do so by clicking the button below.

Don't forget to mask up, be safe, but have fun with your classes!
