Honorable Messenger

Hey Honorables! We hope you had a great Labor Day weekend! Be sure to check out this week’s opportunities with the Iowa City Foreign Relations Council. We also encourage you to get to know our professional team here as well as our peer mentors as the semester gets going.

Gen Z and Foreign Policy

Are you interested in learning more about Gen Z and foreign policy? Join the ICFRC on Thursday, September 16th at 7pm at the Old Capitol Building in the Old Senate Chamber to hear from professionals and students about their experience with foreign policy! Dr. Brian Lai, Dr. Mike Hais, Amelia Thoreson, and Carolina Herrera will discuss how Gen Z differs from previous generations regarding their views on international issues and American foreign policy and how those differences will shape public policy in the future.

ICFRC Intern Experience

Are you interested in gaining practical intern experience in an international context? Iowa City Foreign Relations Council (ICFRC) is seeking some excellent, qualified University of Iowa student interns who are interested in international affairs and who are committed to ICFRC's mission to promote international understanding and cooperation! These are unpaid internships and usually require about 5-7 hours/week during the academic year. For more information on internship credit and rules, please see the Pomerantz Career Center website or UI Honors website. For more information on ICFRC, see icfrc.org.
