Fiegel earns first place in Capture Your Research image competition

University of Iowa Technology Institute faculty affiliate Jennifer Fiegel has earned first place honors in the faculty, staff, and researcher category of the Capture Your Research image competition.
 

Prof. Gary Christensen joins ITI as a faculty affiliate

NADS featured in Car and Driver Magazine

Car and Driver Magazine recently featured the National Advanced Driving Simulator in an article called "Imitation Games: We Take an $80 million driving simulator for a spin."

 

Building circulation maps

Jenny Simpson emailed building circulation maps showing flow plans to ensure proper distancing in more than a dozen buildings ITI faculty, staff, and students would use. Contact Jenny if a building you frequent was not included at jenny-simpson@uiowa.edu.

Iowa Virtual Human Summit is Aug. 12

The University of Iowa Technology Institute is hosting the first Iowa Virtual Human Summit on Aug. 12. The focus of the half-day summit is leveraging mature modeling and simulation tools to improve the design and fit of body armor and other PPE for female soldiers and first responders.

ITI is a leader in this space, and this summit is an opportunity to showcase our capabilities nationally to audiences in the Department of Defense, military vendors, and other academics.

Please consider attending, and share the event details with those in your networks who could be potential collaborators.

Returning to research

The Office of the Vice President for Research has launched a new website for COVID-19-related guidance and resources for ramping up research. 

Templates/Brand

A new University of Iowa Brand Manual and website was recently rolled out. It includes university guidance on branding, logos, design, applications, templates and governance. You will notice an emphasis on the block “IOWA” as the primary logo instead of unit specific logos.
