Staff Spotlight

Meet Cara Wiebel!

I currently teach LS:2002 Career Leadership Academy Part 1. I also teach CCP:1301 Communication for the Workplace. Other teaching experiences include Introduction to Leadership and College Transition. My professional background is centered around the University of Iowa- I am a proud graduate of the Higher Education and Student Affairs program in the College of Education and spent over 12 years working to help students and their families transition to the University of Iowa through various roles within the Orientation Services department. I love working with students to help them realize their strengths, explore different career paths, build their interpersonal skills, and get ready to make a difference in their communities. Outside of my teaching role, most of my time is spent exploring Iowa City with my four young sons! I also enjoy traveling, visiting the public library, crafting, and growing flowers.

Also, adapting to new environments and situations for new opportunities to grow. LS classes have helped me expand my horizons and grow in ways I was unaware of to make a positive impact on myself and others.
