Please include anyone on this list who may be specific to your ceremony. If you are unsure whether the commencement team may already have them on the list, please include them anyway and we will remove duplicates.

  • If you would like to have a copy of your Order of Events added to your ceremony page, please submit a copy to ui-commencement@uiowa.edu before the end of the day on Wednesday. If you print copies, please send two printed copies to Kristan Hellige at 2700 UCC for University Archives.

Name Cards + Programs

Name Cards

Name cards will be delivered on the morning of Tuesday, May 9. Name cards for students who RSVP'd will be bundled in the order you listed them on your spreadsheet. If students applied for degree by April 19, you will have their name card in a separate stack. If they did not apply by April 19 or if the name on the card is not what they want to be read at ceremony, they will need to fill out a card at the ceremony.

Programs

Please save unused/undamaged programs for the next ceremony. We are doing our best to more accurately print the number of programs needed to reduce waste. We appreciate your support in making this possible!

Additional Program Reminders

Inclusion in the commencement program is not tied to participation in a ceremony.

  • All graduates are listed in the program according to the time at which they earned or are expected to earn a degree.
    • Summer and fall graduate names appear in the fall program even if the student is participating in a spring ceremony.
  • Applying for a degree after the degree application deadline may result in exclusion of the student name from the commencement program.
  • Having a directory restriction on the student's academic record may also result in exclusion of the student name from the program.
