Help Needed for Exam Proctoring During Finals Week
There is a significant increase in the number of students using testing centers during finals week – this may be due to students taking make-up exams or needing exam accommodations. Additional testing space to meet this increased demand has been identified, however, help is needed with exam proctoring.
Please complete this sign-up sheet if you can volunteer a bit of time during finals week. Proctoring duties and responsibilities may include: *Preparing Exams and Rooms: Set up exam materials and testing spaces to create an organized and secure environment. *Student Check-In/Check-Out: Familiarize students with exam guidelines, ensuring they understand what materials are allowed during testing. Seat students upon check-in and record seat numbers. Assist with check-out and collect completed exams. *Exam Proctoring: Observe students completing exams to ensure compliance with restrictions and allotted time; report any concerns to administrators. *Scanning/Delivering Exams: Scan completed paper exams, file, and deliver them to the North Campus Test Center. This role requires walking to other campus locations.
Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa-sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact the sponsoring department in advance.
