New Authorized Representative

Lois J. Geist, associate provost for faculty and professor in the Department of Internal Medicine in the Carver College of Medicine, was named interim vice president for research at Iowa, effective September 16, 2024.

Applicants for sponsored research funding are reminded to indicate Dr. Geist as the authorizing official on all grant and contract applications.  For example, in Cayuse application packages, Dr. Geist should be selected for Field 19, Authorized Representative.

DMS Plan Activities in the RPPR

NIH will be updating the Research Performance Progress Report (RPPR) instructions to address the NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy. 

NIH plans to implement new questions about updates on the status of data sharing and repositories and unique identifiers for data that have been shared for RPPRs submitted on or after October 1, 2024.
