W.M. Keck Foundation updates concept paper requirements.

The W.M. Keck Foundation has introduced a new required template for PIs, which includes revised information from previous submissions. Additionally, applicants will no longer need to choose between the Medical Research and Science and Engineering Research programs. Please note: The internal deadline for this limited submission opportunity has been extended to December 8, 2025, to allow adequate time for PIs to adjust to these changes. See below for updated details and additional information.

The Gates Foundation is requesting proposals to lower the cost of maternal and child nutrition.

They are seeking bold solutions that reduce expenses in sourcing, formulation, manufacturing, and packaging of Calcium, Choline, and DHA. Projects should focus on one of three areas: ultra-low-cost nutrient ingredients, low-cost prenatal supplements, or advanced prenatal supplements. Proposals are due December 16.

Keck Foundation Grant Program December Cycle 2025

Description: The Research Program seeks to benefit humanity by supporting Medical Research and Science and Engineering projects that are distinctive and novel in their approach, question the prevailing paradigm, or have the potential to break open new territory in their field.
Limitation: eight concept papers per institution

G. Harold and Leila Y. Mathers Charitable Foundation: Mathers Grant Program (Spring Cycle)

Description: The Foundation now embraces innovative translational research proposals. The Foundation primarily supports basic science, ideally with potential translational applications. Immunology, microbiome, genomics, structural biology, cellular physiology, neuroscience, etc., are some noteworthy examples of current research support. Covid-19 related research projects (aims or sub-aims) will not be considered for support.

NSF: EPSCoR Research Infrastructure Improvement Program: EPSCoR Research Fellows (ERF)

Description: EPSCoR Research Fellows directly aligns with the NSF EPSCoR strategic goal of establishing sustainable Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) professional development pathways that advance workforce development and effects engagement in STEM at national and global levels. EPSCoR Research Fellows provides awards to build research capacity in institutions and transform the career trajectories of investigators and further develop their individual research potential through collaborations with investigators from the nation's premier private, governmental, or academic research institutions and/or centers. The fellowship provides opportunities to establish strong collaborations through extended or periodic collaborative visits to a selected host site.
Eligibility: Early or Mid-Career Faculty
