Undergraduate Research Conference: A Success

This past weekend, the Office of Undergraduate Research held the Undergraduate Research Conference (URC). Over 40 undergraduate students from 22 different majors attended and had the opportunity to learn about undergraduate research and how to get involved.

If you didn't have a chance to attend our Undergraduate Research Conference, feel free to stop by our office to ask any of your questions.

Travel Award

The Office of Undergraduate Research offers travel awards to support undergraduate researchers attending professional conferences or development events, with grants of up to $500 available.

For many students, these opportunities provide valuable networking and professional development. Joy Curry, who is majoring in History, Medieval Studies and Museum Studies, used her travel award to connect with others in her field. Joy had this to say about the travel award, "It was a wonderful experience!  I was able to see panels by experienced people in the field, see a variety of museums in Council Bluffs, and meet museum people from all across Iowa!"
